For the first time I am publishing
some of the very last photographs I
ever took of Philip. They were never
intended for publication, purely for
my own reference, but I would like to
share them with you.

Over the years I took many beautiful,
high quality photographs of Philip
and his family which I will publish
here eventually. I have located
them and they are carefully filed
away. They are very personal family
pictures in 35 mm slide format and
were mainly taken around the time
that Philip commissioned the Lynott
family portrait titled
"THE LYNOTTS, GLENCORR, 1981.".
I am reluctant to publish them now for
a number of reasons, all of them personal,
but they will appear sooner or later.

Also, a year or so before his death, I took about eight Polaroids of Philip, Caroline, Cathleen and Sarah, while Philip took a Polaroid of me. All these were mislaid shortly after and only turned up a couple of months ago when I was sorting through all my Lizzy stuff. These Polaroid's will also be published here in the future.

The photographs I have published are the last I ever took of Philip. Myself, Philip and Terry Woods got together in Glencorr to discuss a new project. Philip, as he did with so many of his friends - from Gary Moore to Snowy White, wanted to help a fellow artist and he had decided to produce and record a rejuvenated version of the classic "Tennessee Stud" with Terry Woods (formerly of "Steeleye Span" and "The Woods Band" - more recently long-time member of "The Pogues"). I put himself and Terry head-to-head, for laughs, in the garden and then took a couple of casual snaps of Philip and I sort of felt, even then, he was fading away. The quality of the pictures is poor because the originals have faded and the negs are long lost, but I, for one, find them extraordinarily poignant.
