Over the last few years I have been concentrating on a series of works, based loosely on Early Irish monastic art, fused with Coptic and Islamic art and influenced by the teachings of the Early Christian church in Ireland and the earlier Gnostic Gospels of the original Apostles, suffused with a layer of Buddhism, Zoroastroism and Tantric teachings. The style is pre-eminently Celtic and abstract with very little figurative content, though I do intend to develop this aspect of the art further. It is early days yet, a lot of this work was really just artistic muscle flexing but now is really beginning to take its own direction. Right now I am extending this series by producing a number of works of great complexity, mostly related to the teachings of the early Gnostic Christians and the Gospels of St.John.
